Noelle is distraught as the anniversary of her best friend's tragic death approaches. She still couldn't believe he was gone. It had already been difficult for her to go a year without him; now a reminder that he was truly gone was about to hit her hard, and she wasn't prepared. At all.
As she sulked in her room watching a movie, she heard a terrible scream from next door, where her best friend used to live. She climbed through the window and onto the treehouse to reach his room. When she opened the window, she couldn't believe what she saw.
