The creation of Made in The A.M. by One Direction wasn't just a goodbye to each other, rather a goodbye to their fans, and one fan in particular - Nancy Harwood.
At only fifteen years old when they met, Nancy and Harry became inseparable at a camp for talented youths in the summer of '09. He stole her kiwi flavored sweets and sang her songs, while she wrote short stories for his eyes only with dreams of one day becoming a New York best selling author.
But life moves on after summer, and so did Harry.
Until they meet again - five years later after no communication and no explanation.

"Harry." He turns back to face me, hovering in the doorway and I see a spark of hope in his eyes which I know I'm about to crush with my next words. "Can I have my necklace back?"
"I already said no Nancy." His voice is almost whiny, like an upset child.
I can't look at him when I reply. "No, Harry. That's not the necklace I'm talking about. I want my necklace back." I reword my sentence, knowing that's all he needs to understand what I'm referring to.
His body falls against the side of the doorframe, disbelief washing over his face. He searches my face, checking if I'm being serious. Which I am being deadly serious. If I can't have his necklace, he can't have mine. His gaze falls from mine and down to his chest where he looks at the cross necklace that's hanging there.
