Echo is your average female street-racer trying to survive in Fortune Valley. Echo was raised by the streets since she was in her early teens. When she gathered a crew, they were almost unstoppable. That is, until The House got involved. Echo had been letting her crew keep the money that they earned in the races instead of putting it into a pool for everyone to draw from. The House offered to give them larger sums of money for racing. Echo's crew abandoned her in favor of The House's money. Echo refused to be taken advantage of, and so she left, taking her most prized possession, something The House wanted and was willing to do anything to get their hands on. A 2017 Chevrolet Camaro with technology so advanced that The House wanted it for their plans.
When Echo heard about Tyler Morgan and his crew's plight to take down The House, she hesitated, having already been burned by crews. Thus, Tyler and his crew were driven to show Echo that crews could be trusted. Echo's trust in Tyler's crew will be tested, and stories will be told that some people wanted kept hidden. Echo will need to trust in Tyler and his crew in order to keep her beloved Camaro safe from The House.

~ I put my foot down and drive to the first corner. The track is always wet at the start of the day as the water truck is able to go out and keep it that way, but by the end of the day all the water will have been used so it will be bone dry and that's when the real fun begins. I pull the hydro, the chrome shaft that's connected to my rear brakes, to lock the rear wheels so I can initiate a drift. I feather the throttle accordingly as to keep the car sideways and continue onto the next corner... This is it. Nothing else matters. Just me, my car, their car and the sound of tyres tearing rubber against the drying tarmac... ~ ~ "Laurie, you got something..." He trails off as his thumb brushes my lips enough to turn my head towards him. Before I know it, the space between us is closing and my body is frozen. His lips draw ever closer to mine and involuntarily, my back arches so my mouth presses against his. My lips burn with passion as I find myself unable to stop kissing him. My rational side kicks in and I pull myself away from him. What the hell am I doing? ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Laurie Williams is a wreck of a woman. Alcoholism and not giving a fuck are her two main personality traits. But it always finds her again. On a downward hill spiral from the beginning, she loses friendships, relationships and even herself. The only thing keeping her afloat is her love for cars. Kalia's POV : Freedom ain't real. It's just a pretty lie people tell themselves to sleep better at night. Me? I've never been free. Not when I was born into a life where people used me like a tool. Not when I thought I escaped, only to get dragged back in. And sure as hell not now, trapped in a marriage I never wanted with a man who loves me like an addiction-obsessive, toxic, suffocating. Easton swears I belong to him. Calls me his, like I'm a possession, not a person. But I was never meant to be owned. Not by him. Not by anyone. And yet... I'm craving the one person I can't have. The one man I shouldn't want. Jay Kim. My husband's best friend. The only person who looks at me like I'm more than a pawn in someone else's game. The only man who's ever made me feel safe. But love in this world? It don't come without consequences. And choosing Jay? That'd be the kind of mistake that gets people killed. Jay's POV: I never wanted this empire. It was my uncle's before me-a kingdom built on blood, corruption, and greed. But when he fell, I had two choices: take control or let worse men have it. So I took it. And now? I'm doing what he never could. I'm fixing the mess he left behind. Cleaning up the dirt while keeping the wolves from tearing it apart. But then she came back. Kalia Gomez. The only woman who's ever made me want something outside of this life. The one I can't have-because she belongs to someone else. Not just anyone, either. Easton. My friend. My brother in arms. I should walk away. Should forget about the way she looks at me when no one's watching. Should ignore the way my pulse fucking riots every time she's close. But it's too late for that. Because I might be trying to clean up this empire... But for Kalia? I'd burn it all down.

"Oh my god, this Corvette is so fucking sexy." I ran my hand along the peeling red paint. It wasn't in the best condition, but a Corvette was a Corvette. "Can I drive it?" "There's no engine. We used it for parts," Drake said. My heart sank into my stomach, and I let out a wheeze. "You what?" "We were running low on funds, so we did what we had to do," Josiah said. "It never meant anything to us anyway." What the fuck? "How the hell can you call yourselves a racing team if you're willing to do that to one of the best-looking cars ever made?" I shook my head. "It's disgusting." "What? Racing?" Drake's mouth fell open. "Oh my god, no. We wanted a driver." I looked over at Josiah, then Drake. "I drive cars for a living, therefore I'm a driver. What's the confusion?" "You said you drove for RTR," Josiah said. I nodded. "Yeah, Roger Truscott Racing." "Oh no. Oh my god. Look, in our line of work, that means Real Time Robotics," Drake said. "Robotics? What the fuck is going on?" I asked. "You wouldn't happen to know much about combat robotics, would you?" Drake forced a smile, and it wasn't difficult to see the hope leave his eyes. *** Katie Moore is a controversial figure in the car racing world with several strikes against her. One, she is a female. Two, she is a female with opinions. And three, she is a female with opinions who thoroughly enjoys sharing them with no inhibition. A one-track mind (with a few side streets), all she wants is to win a race to shut everyone up about her mistakes and misfortunes. But when she's down on her luck, a team of nerds finds their way into her life, giving her an offer that she probably should refuse.
