In a world where everyone is powerless, powers suddenly appear in children. The powers range from minor shapeshifting to advanced transformations, from teleporting small objects to teleporting whole cities, from setting small fires to being able to turn into fire for an hour, things like that. With powers with these kinds of highs and lows and everything in between, it's hard to make a place to contain the children with these powers. When Wolf is sent to a prison when her powers appear, she is the first to escape. With her, four others escape. These five children become the leaders of a group that rescues children from these prisons.

Right before she was adopted at age ten, she lost all her memories. After the adoption life seemed as normal as possible, besides a few fractured memories of her forgotten past. At the age of seventeen, she now goes by Rae and her only worries are trying to please her parents while also trying to live life the way she wants, forget these recurring nightmares, and survive life at her new school. At her new school, The Academy for the Gifted, Rae is faced with a few challenges by trying to survive high school like any other normal teenager with her two best friends. But in this new school with these new kids and friends, her past is starting to come back and because of it, she has to deal with new problems while also trying to figure out who she really is and the truth behind those fractured memories. -------------------------------------------------------- There is some swearing in this book so you have been warned.
