Most people dream of having wings-- dream of the freedom they bring. For Y/N however, the sight of her own wings is one that she can't stand. Her wings have brought her nothing but pain and isolation. However when a familiar pair of vermillion wings enters her life once more, her repressed memories are once again brought to the surface-- the past she has ran from slowly enveloping her once again. Will she learn how to fly again or run from the golden eyes that have haunted her dreams?

Being stuck between everything finally got to her before people realized it was an issue. Disappearing only to be found by a hero with red wings where they occasionally meet with each other to talk. Now a disease outbreak and they need her. (It's kinda a short story. I'm working on angsty things and I know it's some plot holes but I was going to do something about it. This is a story about Hawks and the reader so it's mostly focused on them. Kinda a slow burn too. I'm not into slow burns but I just wanted to try it out.
