Amelia Lockwood, daughter of famous Psychic Detective Agents, Anthony and Lucy Lockwood, wishes to practice her tremendous Talents. She even inherited an annoying and slightly helpful ghost from her mother.
One day, Amelia's uncle George Cubbins, announces that the Problem returned, moreover, the global spread. Governments are requesting those with experience with Visitors from the Other Side.
While her father and uncle go to New York to train up inexperienced Psychic Agents to battle this New Problem, Amelia is left behind. Desiring nothing more than to follow her parents' footsteps, but her mother forbids it.
Being a Lockwood, it's Amelia's legacy is to bring London's top Ghost hunting agency out of retirement. Even if she has to run away to New York to tackle the New Problem herself, in her own kind of way.
