"It was awkward and a little clumsy, but all beginnings are. You won't find a true beginning to anything where someone didn't trip, or step on the other's foot, or hang their jacket zipper on the other's sweater. That awkwardness makes it real, and that's what gave me the extra faith that I had in my blooming relationship with Dusty. Ours was a real human connection not some fictional romance like you read in books or see on film." Main Characters: Dusty Pierce & Layla Carrigan Setting: The autumn of 1984 in a small town in Tennessee *Mature for language*
