You pass out and wake up in a large neon city filled with strange humanoid creatures that appear to be animals... As if that wasn't bad enough.. My brother the 10 year old genius
We're about 4 years apart, he's only 10 years old and still the smartest person I know. I'm 14 years old, and starting my first year of high school. And may I just say, what a great way to start the year off by first having all the parents be abducted by aliens. Compared to the rest of our family it makes me feel stupid, but then compare me to our parents and my IQ goes from stupid to at least average. Our mom is pretty smart, my dad isn't that smart, and sounds like he really only cares about ducks. People make fun of him for being so smart, but I love him, most days anyways. He's my best friend and he says I'm the coolest big sister he's ever had, to be clear I'm the only sister he's ever had. He has one of those space HQs one of those bigger on the inside tiny on the outside, and invents all and everything. Including our dog, I'm allergic to anything that sheds, but have always wanted a pet, so he made me one himself. I just wish he'd ask me first before he tests his experiments on me. I wasn't special, I wasn't a marine or a scientist sent here from earth to study Pandora, I was a behaviorist-some say behaviorists are scientists too; but the brain isn't made up of mathematics and hope, it's like the roots of trees. Forever speaking but unheard. I study people's brains and their behavior. I don't look at it with hope and faith. I'm nothing special, not really. When I was accepted to help with Project Pandora, I was exhilarated. This was my big break, something to get me out there. I never expected for it to spiral into my life unprofessionally-become personal, emotional. That I would have to fight in a war between man and alien, choose between my own people and a clan of beings that accepted me-welcomed me, trained and made me one of them.
