At a young age of 13, Tokugawa Kazumi had won the World Junior Individual and Synchronized Figure Skating Championships representing Canada. On the day of her competition however, her parents were killed in a devastating car crash. Ever since then, she felt immense guilt that weighs down on her whenever she stepped onto the ice rink. Her godfather heard about the news and invited her to come back to Japan to live together while undergoing training to be a sports medic in the U17 camp.
