Lana Castillo. Not exactly the brightest witch of her age, as that name has been occupied by one of her closest friends, hermione, but definitely the strongest witch of her age.
The loss of her mother, the pure abandonment of her father, and the feeling of complete emptiness had taken a toll on her. The burrow was her safe place. It was home. Sure, her own house was where she resided, but the burrow was the one place she felt loved, safe, free.
Lana and her mother, Adilla, had always resided a 2 minute walk from the burrow for as long as she could remember, resulting in both families becoming one big one. Daily dinners, Christmas, birthdays, everything was celebrated the burrow. Lana had practically lived there every summer between her Hogwarts years. It felt more like a home than her own, and as of a month ago, when her mother lost a battle to her mental health, it became exactly that.
Lana and Ginny were joint at the hip, practically sisters, and Fred and George were as protective as they come. And the golden trio, well, they were the best friends anyone could of hoped for.
The summer following year 6 was the year she had become absolutely broken, and one of her many best friends, Fred Weasley, took it upon himself to be the person that changes that, hoping that one day, she will see how much he truly does feel for her.
