According to an old and mostly long forgotten legend the people all have a splinter of a magic mirror in their hearts, that broke into a thousand pieces ages ago.
Right now, there is a self-claimed Emperor oppressing Fimbul, a country of ice and snow with his vicious and mighty Dragons. But there is one woman whose self proclaimed quest it is to free her people of the grasp of that Emperor. And so she goes on a journey with a stable boy who seeks to be a great dragonslayer, who wants to undergo the adventure some will sing songs of long after he had died, to find the children of the gods, in the Other World, our world, to help her against that tyrant.

The Circles of Magic 🌳 (The Curse of Magic Book 1)

26 parts Complete Mature

As a Cursed elf, one born with no magic, Edwyr has been forced to live among humans for over ten years. He doesn't mind his job of defending the town that he now lives in from beast attacks, and he gets along with most of the humans well enough, but he can never quite make the bitterness and resentment over being exiled go away. Life goes on as usual until a talented but inexperienced elf named Feyrith arrives and tells Edwyr that the High Elven Council wants him to help Feyrith on a quest. Despite his hatred towards the Council, Edwyr ends up agreeing, if only because he doubts Feyrith can survive a trip like this alone. The task is to investigate strange magical energies in a ruin a few days' travel away. Edwyr assumes that the only thing to worry about will be avoiding getting killed by the jungle wildlife, but the mission turns much more complicated when they stumble across a conspiracy that aims to change everything about the elven society. Including both of their destinies. --------------------------- [word count: ≈ 90 000 words]
