"What a time to be alive," A phrase often said to convey happiness, satisfaction, or sometimes even endearment. It is a phrase to express one's own peace with their existence, acceptance of who they are and all they've come to be. However, in other cases it can be used to express dissatisfaction or resentment.
Leigh Falt is one of those cases.
Born in the trenches of the Underground, she is no stranger to misfortune and heartache. However, when a mission done as a favor to a friend goes awry, she finds herself faced with the option to achieve a greater life for her as well as her comrades. Can a group of criminals truly make it to the surface and live lives of peace and tranquillity, or are some things too good to be true?
After all, it's not like her life is some book, and even if it were- not all tales have happy endings.
