Aizawa Nanami was an orphaned child, and Aizawa Shouta was a pro hero.

Aizawa was urged by his boyfriend(Yamada Hizashi) to adopt a baby girl.(they already have Shinsou btw)

As they opened the doors to the orphanage their eye's immediately landed on Nanami's ocean blue ones. They knew right away who they wanted and quickly took in the girl and treated her like family.
