Former Civil War nurse Eleanor Harlan has had quite enough adventure to last her a lifetime. Her time of chaos and disarray is far behind her - or so she believes.
When her grandmother earns her entry into The Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, boasting of her medical skills on the battlefield, Eleanor is plunged head first into hell itself.
