It was a beautiful September morning. When I was in 5th grade, a boy in the class walked up to me and asked me for a pencil. He did that once in a week till we completed High school. We became close friends and one day I asked him why did he do so. He smiled and said "The answer lies in the pencil".
I hurried back home and checked the last pencil he borrowed from me. Neatly engraved on it was, 'I LOVE YOU...but I am too scared to say that'
He had been leaving this message since 5th grade. I couldn't help but smile.
Today was the first day of our college and unfortunately we both were part of the same team for our college sports competition. The most weirdly sweet thing was that he had a crush on me for a very long time, but was not sure how to say it. In spite of that he mustered some courage, and casually asked, "Hey, you know what?"
"What?" I asked.
"You have the prettiest smile I have ever seen" he said.
My eyes glittered with his words and I replied,
"You know what?"
"What"? He asked
"My that smile exists only because of you!" i exclaimed. Although i said it in the heat of the moment but my words were genuine. They came from the bottom of my heart.
He then said "I love you the way you are" to which I replied "I love you the way you are, too".
He smiled and asked "If everything, was being my wife, will you be?" I smiled and replied "You are my everything so let's complete this everything by being here with each other and forever"
He smiled and said "You are beautiful". I also smiled and said "You are beautiful too"
He laughed and said "Duffer, guys can't be beautiful, they are handsome" I pulled one of his cheek and said "Duffer, you are beautiful by your heart and that's why I chose you, and because you are not any other guy out there, you are my Prince!"
