The Zombie was real. I raced to the pumpkin and opened the top. There was a brain inside of it! The brain emitted a soft, pulsing glow. I stumbled backward. How disgusting! I knew I had to do something or I would be....a zombie myself. I called for Jen, my best friend in the other room. No response. I quickly yelled "Jen, this isn't a joke! I need help!" nothing. I ran upstairs and found her door ajar. Had this anything to do with the scream I had heard earlier? I ran back downstairs, thinking of all the possible ways that Jen was ok. I wanted to reassure myself. The other part of my brain argued, " How could she be ok?! You heard that scream. Pay closer attention to the zombie.'' As I looked closer, I saw that the zombie was wearing the same tie-dye shirt and H&M jeans paired with her favorite Adidas. I ran back upstairs to further investigate her room. As I looked around, I found a note addressed to me.

REVISED EDITION COMING OUT MONTHLY/COMPLETED In a world overrun by zombies, A single bite heralds doom - except for Kaindra, who defies death itself, being undead already. ******** As humanity struggles to adapt to the new reality of zombies-infested streets and lurking supernatural creatures from ancient myths and legends, survival becomes an ever-evolving challenge. Survival is a constant battle not only against the undead but also against supernatural creatures and their zealous followers. The relentless onslaught of zombies and the mysterious reemergence of mythical beings push society to its limits. Civilization's last bastions fall one by one, teetering on the brink of collapse. As these ancient myths awaken, they reveal intentions that are far from clear- some may hold the key to salvation, while others could herald further doom. The question remains: Can humanity unravel the mysteries of these legendary beings in time to save themselves, or will they fall prey to the very legends they once dismissed? ___ Excerpt: Taking a deep breath, I lean closer to the mirror, my skin prickling. I thought it was a trick of the light, but as I stare at my reflection, my fragile lies crumble away. The reflection staring back at me feels unrecognizable. My once deep, dark brown eyes now glimmer with an otherworldly light, like twin moons suspended in a sea of silver. The faint glow within them swirls softly, catching the dim flicker of flame I summoned, like ripples across a moonlit lake. Their alien intensity sends a chill down my spine. The orbs seemed to hold a universe within, depths of endless mysteries and ancient wisdom beyond my grasp. ___ Warning: Mentions of suicide and self-harm Beautiful cover made by @scmimi. Hi all, I have decided to discontinue this book, so it is not finished. (Read at your own risk) I'm going to be rewriting it from the beginning, in hopes to improve it greatly. It will be uploaded as a brand new book so feel free to check it out, please be aware it might differ slightly from this book as it is only taking inspiration from it Many thanks for all the reads this book has brought and with high hopes for the rewrite i bid you goodbye ----------------------------- Everything seemed to go silent as I heard them breaking through the door before anyone else, adrenaline pumped through my body as i jumped up and pulled out my machete. i ran over to help the group protect the others but realised that there was too many zombies to take on , my heart beating so fast, i turned around, grabbed Rose and went running over to the window. i looked down and saw the breath taking jump to the next building making me fear what was coming next and that was our only escape. i turned around, slicing a zombies head right off its neck , protecting Wen from getting bitten. As she swung her axe right over my head , hitting another zombie square in the head, sending a spray of blood all over the back of me. "We have to jump!" i screamed at everyone at the top of my lungs, i looked around to find at least 75% of our group either eaten or eating some one else. i knew i was being too slow in making my decisions, but all i could concentrate on was the sound of my heart beating in my chest. i pulled nicol to the floor and away from the zombie that nearly chewed off her head and watched her send a knife into its head with what seemed no effort at all. Then i turned and moved quicker than i have before to stop the zombie that i saw coming for me from the corner of my eye, i stopped dead in my tracks as my heart sank into the bloody stream of my circulation of life. I realised the zombie i was facing, was Rose...

Remi has always loved the forest, the different sounds, smells, the way she could get lost in it and never have to go home to her non-existent parents. She goes in and out of her life with her best friend everyday just waiting until they're both old enough to leave their small boring town. But one day Remi is attacked, and nearly killed, by a man in the forest. When she wakes up everything's different. She feels something inside her, a power, but she has no idea what happened to her. All she remembers is the man's strange yellow eyes. When three new boys show up at her school, one with yellow eyes, asking her question she gets nervous. And then one night while heading to go get her friend she's taken and thrown into a world she didn't know existed. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Remi?" Jen says suddenly. "Hmm?" I hum back. "Do you ever wish you could just live in the forest? Away from everyone and everything?" She looks at me. "Free." We stare at each other for a long time. I see the real meaning in Jen's eyes. Her worries for going home to her overly strict parents. Her fears for the future and the unknown in general. "If we lived in the forest we wouldn't have gummy bears any more." I comment to lighten the mood. She doesn't find it funny. "I'm serious Remi! What if we did run away?" "Jen, we can't just run away. I know your parents are strict but I truly think they just want what's best for you." She says nothing. For a moment I fear she's mad at me but then she puts her head on my shoulder and I know we're okay.

A world where Scott and Stiles have female versions of them selves that they don't know exist. What happens when the duos meet up? (Mature for violence, intense emotional themes, and language) ***Sneak Peak*** Winnie came back handing her friend the extra apple she always got her in exchange for the extra water. As Sky took the apple it started to sizzle. Sky dropped it startled and the girls looked at each other confused. "Okay what the fuck," Winnie asked. Sky just poked the apple again and it still heated up the fruit just not to the same extent as before. "Skyler, why is your skin burning fruit and mine isn't," Winnie asked in a hushed whisper. "How the fuck should I know," Skyler asked her friend. She was starting question if this was all just a weird dream. It had to be. Right? Winnie was now trying to poke the apple to see if it would react to her the same way before nudging it to her friend and watching it heat up a little before Skyler pulled her hand away. "Winnie," she scolded really starting to freak out. "What? It was for science purposes. Multiple trials," Winnie responded. "What the hell is happening to me," Sky asked worried. "Maybe you have super powers," Winnie proposed. "Maybe I'm dying from some weird chemical reaction," Skyler pointed out. "Always so negative. Try to look on the up side sometimes," Winnie teased. "What if I'm dying," Skyler asked worried. "It was nice knowing you," Winnie said jokingly. That wasn't what the girl needed to hear. "Look," Winnie interjected realizing she wasn't helping, "You aren't dying. We can google it and find out what's going on I'm sure there's a reason." Sky nodded quietly. She didn't know what else to do. Something was wrong with her. Something in her said it had to do with that beast they saw.

I stood there leaning against the door for a second. Then screams reached my ear. I looked to where it came from and saw a girl at the other end of the hall laying on the ground with a gaping hole in her stomach. Three other students had ripped away at the girl's insides and were chewing it up. One paused for a second and looked up at me. He stood up and I panicked. I knew him. He was in my chorus class. August was his name. He had blond, curly hair, blue eyes, and was probably the tallest person in the entire school. August opened his now bloody mouth and let out a screech that sent chills down my spine. He leaped over the other two cannibals and the now dead girl and broke into a sprint. As soon as he leaped I had also started running. I made it out of the 300 hall and hid behind the vending machine that stood at the entrance of the hall. Seconds later, August was standing just inches from me. He looked around and I stayed as quiet and still as I possibly could. I didn't even breathe. After what seemed like years of waiting, August turned back toward the dead girl and walked out if sight. I stayed where I was for a little bit longer until my lungs demanded I start breathing again. Directly in front of me was the library and cafeteria. To the right of the cafeteria was the auditorium and the music hall. "If I could just make it to the chorus room maybe I'll find some of my friends," I thought to myself. I was about to take my first step when I looked down at my shoes. They were brand new and when I walked, they squeaked. I took my shoes off as quietly as I could. I had my Captain America socks on and I knew I'd have to take those off as well. I just couldn't risk slipping. Once my feet were bare I took off in a quiet sprint towards the music hall. How awesome is that cover though!? Lol my dad made it.
