The Zombie was real. I raced to the pumpkin and opened the top. There was a brain inside of it! The brain emitted a soft, pulsing glow. I stumbled backward. How disgusting! I knew I had to do something or I would be....a zombie myself. I called for Jen, my best friend in the other room. No response. I quickly yelled "Jen, this isn't a joke! I need help!" nothing. I ran upstairs and found her door ajar. Had this anything to do with the scream I had heard earlier? I ran back downstairs, thinking of all the possible ways that Jen was ok. I wanted to reassure myself. The other part of my brain argued, " How could she be ok?! You heard that scream. Pay closer attention to the zombie.'' As I looked closer, I saw that the zombie was wearing the same tie-dye shirt and H&M jeans paired with her favorite Adidas. I ran back upstairs to further investigate her room.
