((Hey! This is my first real "fan-fiction" on this account, so I hope you all enjoy! This story takes place in an AU where Greg was never found, and Wirt was left to wander the forest for an entire year.

The sun rises on a beautiful sunny summer day. Bill has been waiting for the perfect time to try again. Cast in stone, a statue in the forest of Gravity Falls, he had a lot of time to think. Then one night, the moon and stars lit the path for a familiar face, everything changed. The one who bested him, now growing up, worse for wear he'd turned to the arms of a demon in search of rest.
