I was 17 when I found the guy of my dreams, the only problem? He didn't live in the same state, no where close actually. He was at least in the same time zone, so I never had to worry about late night phone calls being missed or missing the chance to facetime because of it. I would compare our love to Romeo and Juliet, but obviously without the dying. Everyone told us that it wouldn't last... That the distance would cause us to lose faith or that we were too young to even know what love was. But that wasn't the case for us... Our love was real no matter the distance, or the obstacles that were placed in front of it.

We only had to wait till I turned 18 so I could hop on a plane and never look back at the crappy state I was in. That was the plan, the goal, it was everything. When we would start to doubt everything we would talk about our future. Where we would move, what kind of cars or jobs. We had everything planned for the most part. We just had to wait for the long year to end for our love to be in person and not just through the phone or letters. A year.. Not much can change in a year right?
