In a benderless modern world, the characters of ATLA go about their everyday lives. there are no tribes but there are different groups of students that don't really merge together. families usually keep to themselves as their parents encourage them to keep away from others who aren't friends of family. 

In this AU all characters are a couple years older, so they're more mature then the age they are in ATLA, in this they're late teens, so no creepy kid stuff I promise.

until a new kid (aang) arrives at school and changes many things for most of his classmates and the school. resulting in enraging the headmaster Ozai. 

I know this story seems pretty basic but I'll try to make it more interesting with many different romantic opportunities and potentially some dark and emotional twists.

if you love ATLA and some of the ships then you should give this a read.

I'll keep working on it, I'm sorry if I'm a little slow.

Aang must try to win his friends over to accept this seemingly cold-hearted and pessimistic boy into their group... Because for some, odd reason... He knows they're supposed to meet. OG DESCRIPTION: they meet in school, Zuko is a transfer after his father murdered his mother right in front of him. He has no friends, and a large burn mark on his face, causing people to avoid him. katara, aang, toph, suki, and sokka are already friends. they do bend elements. school just isn't focused on it except for elective classes. all these characters belong to avatar the last airbender !! they are not mine

Four Elements High School: Junior Year by octobermango

It's Aang's junior year at Four Elements High School, and things are... different. Zuko and Mai are off at college and have to deal with being apart for the first time in their relationship, while a secret of Zuko's past might be hidden in plain sight. With his mind constantly fighting against itself, a distraction in the form of sword fighting with a guard could be exactly what he needs.
