Pink Diamond thought she had it made with her fellow Diamonds. But then she found Earth. 
Then she thought she had the perfect life with Greg, leading the rebel group, The Crystal Gems. But then she found out how cruel humanity can be. 
Both times, Pink Diamond felt desperate to escape. Both times she faked her "death" and ran away. But this time, practically nowhere is safe. 
After flying away from Earth and finding refuge on an abandoned planet, Pink, with her second baby (I'm not going to go into details) finds herself sadder and more alone than ever. With only the child for company, Pink Diamond does her best to take care of her, but soon realises the truth. 
That the only way for this child to live is to go to someone who can take care of her like a real mother.
