He thinks maybe he's not cut out for this after all, it was supposed to be him that died. I forget to mention this but this is a rewrite and the old version has been deleted. I wrote this story in 2018 and I finished the rest of it in late 2019, despite how bad I thought the story was. I don't regret writing this, but I don't enjoy the ship anymore, and some of it is cringey- BUT I do understand that some people have enjoyed this, so I am keeping it up.
