Kay's memory really flew out the window.
Suddenly, he wakes up in a hospital. There's people around him, carrying surprised faces. He couldn't try and think of who they were, it was meaningless trying to reach into a blank space and waiting for an outcome. He can't recall anything, not his birthday, not the people around him, and horrifyingly, not even himself.
The diagnosis was amnesia.
When a boy accidentally falls off a cliff while hiking with his father, his world twists and turns upside down. At this point, he had two options. Wait for a very long time for his memories to come back. Or the alternative, make new memories and Restart.
