Perhaps it was poor advice whispered softly in Zelena Bloom's ear while her mother carefully cradled her between her arms as a child. Some sense of sweet nothings for the unkind world beyond the door. With each memory relived of her childhood, she could only picture the tenacity and unwavering kindness reflected in her mother's every action she adored and mimicked so much that she grew into the rather large shoes.

But no sense of such "sweet nothings" could prepare her for the outcome of a decades old rivalry ignited by an even older flame of bitterness.
