This is a new work of literature that is complete fiction.
Serena finds an old, small, worn out journalist book, and claims it to be her new Diary. She vowed to write new entries in it almost as often as she can.

I've been very depressed and heartbroken so, what better than to create a story out of it? "This is my life" details a protagonist going through her teenage years up until the age of 21.
