By the year 2412, scientists were crazy over genetic modification. They started modifying plants and animals, creating more species of plants, more species of animals. Humans started eating these kinds of food, little did they know what harm it could bring. When a group of humans started dying, scientists realized it was due to too much G.M. They stopped experimenting, but it was too late. Plants, animals started dying too. There was almost no food left.
The survivals would have to fight it out for whatever food remaining through the Games
