Hailey is a normal girl in District 12. She lives with her step brother, Zander and her parents. Along with her friends, of course, Sean, Milly, Luke, and Jake. Ah yes, Jake. He was an interesting guy. The son of District 12's best musician. Although, the only real talent he had was singing. They had been friends for 3 year, or what seemed like forever for Jake and Hailey. It probably happened because of their shared love for music. They even managed to develop feelings for each other, but of course, nothing good lasts forever.

The reaping is coming up soon, and Hailey gets picked along with Zander. The fear they both shared was extreme. What were the chances? Out of everyone in the entire district, it was them. There was only one other person who feared it more than the two.
