"Lacey jerked backward as the man prowled closer, one dagger raised threateningly in the air. Her heart skipped a beat as she realized that she was severely outmatched as he had two knives to her one.
"Give up now, boy, you don't stand a chance. Run along home to your Mother," He grinned maliciously and gestured with one of the knives for her to run out the door.
Lacey paused in confusion at being mistaken for a boy, but it quickly disappeared as she realized her hood was still up.
She momentarily wondered if revealing herself as the Duchess' daughter would give her a free pass, but she took one look at Gil's bloody face and knew if she left, he would be dead in minutes.
But besides that, as she stared into the man's hooded eyes she realized with a dark certainty that she'd already seen too much..."

"You-y-you're one of t-them??" "One of who?" "You're a s-spy!" The fear in his face now mingled with indignation. "Don't play games with me! I k-know who you're with! I - I - I'm not scared of you!" "Look! I don't know where I am and I want to go home!" "Gurgof!!" He spat. "You have the audacity to come here after what your people did to us! To me!" His tone seethed with bitterness. "Who else did you come to target? Who else will you take from me?" "Relax, okay! I came here by mistake. Just tell me how to get home and I'll be gone." Diana put up her hands defensively, alarmed by the sudden change in the boy's demeanour. There were angry tears in his vivid green eyes and his whole body shook with emotion. "You will not go anywhere." His voice was very faint. "You will not succeed again." His hands balled into fists. "You will pay the price of their crime!" he screamed, before launching himself towards her.

I pushed Mrs. Havisham away from me and fought out of Damon's iron grip. I stalked towardsmy father and his evil, hysterical grin. He opened his arms as if to hug me. I raised my sword and plunged it deep into his stomach. His face turned from a grin to shock and he looked down at his stomach to find the sword I was still holding implanted in his flesh. He looked back up at me and I pulled the sword out sharply, mercilessly. His face turned into a sick grimace which made waves of horror pass through my body. He fell to the ground just in front of my mother. A single tear ran down my cheek. I looked down at my mother and father, both dead, at my hand. Both bleeding because of a stupid peice of silver. The crew have to flee once again when Atkinson arrives at Narthwich, intent on having Watson's head. With the arrival of Ruth's Doppelgänger, Rebecca, and her wife, Natalia, things take an interesting turn as they head out to find their missing friend and get home safely. **THIS IS PART 3 AND THE LAST IN THE SERIES FOR THE FOURTH KNIGHT. BE SURE TO READ THE TWO BOOKS BEFORE THIS ONE FOR IT TO MAKE SENSE** ***** "Well? Who the fuck are you then?!" I said to her, coldly. The woman flinched at the tone I used and started to stammer. "I-I-I'm N-Natalia. Rebecca's wife..." "Oh, you are, are you?" I feigned pleasantries. I kicked Dragonwrath around and held it in front of me, pointing at her neck. I saw Ryder, Edwards and Sawyer move to stop me, but froze when I glared at them. I looked down my nose at Natalia. "You can pass on a message to that bitch of a wife of yours from me then. She will not have me as one of her pawns, she will not harm anyone of my friends, and she sure as hell isn't going to stop me leaving this fucking bastard of a Realm with them today!" I stamped my foot forward as I said my final word of warning, making her jump in fear. Satisfied she got my message, I flipped Dragonwrath away from her and addressed my friends. "Get the others, we're going home!"
