Her lips curled, hot and fierce a drop of tear rolled down her red cheeks. "Who are you, huh?! A best friend?! Or what?!" Her words felt like flashes of my own words that I had said before.

I gulped down hard. Did she just say that?!
No. I would've heard it wrong?!

The tension float over my blood, stretches each of my nerves strongly, but I didn't flinch because it hit against me too weak in contrast to her words.

Months of distance made me....no one? Huh?!

"Ofcourse. I- I am~" My insides weakened. I couldn't gather enough energy to throw the word out. "I- I stand as no one for you. But...hm, but I thought atleast we could be honest with each other?!" I said.

"O" She nodded and held her breathe. "Alright! If you want me to be honest, then listen. Stop hitting on every chance you get, Jacob!" Another drop of tear escaped her eyes, hot and convulsed with anger. She suppressed her sobs down and shuddered vigorously. "Jus- just stop making me feel that way."

I stood there...that felt like recalling last night, where she walks out of it so smoothly once again. How? My eyes fills in with glassy layer of tears. Although it was just a drop of water with trapped hurricanes of my feelings within it. My fingers curled tight into a fist, as if it was trying to hold onto whatever she'd say.

Do I make her feel taken advantage of?

Without thinking, I inhaled sharply, causing her scent to overwhelm me. My muscles tensed, ready to spring towards the girl in front of me and sink my teeth into her fleshy neck. What if I allowed myself to kiss her warm skin before my teeth pierced her flesh? I would start at the hollow beneath her ear and trail my lips down her neck, stopping at her collarbone. To my chagrin, I wasn't imagining the delectable flavor of her blood- I was fantasizing about the sweet, yet salty taste of her skin on my lips. How absolutely ridiculous! I despised the human girl with every bone in my body. I was fully convinced of that. The feeling was mutual on her end as well. We harbored nothing but dislike for one another. She was a constant reminder of what was lost to me for eternity- who was lost to me, I should say. She was nothing more than a tribute of the heartbreak I had spent two decades running from. Still, for the life of me, I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get the thought of her out of my head. *** After Bella chose to live out a human life with Jacob Black, Edward was left with a gaping hole in his chest where his heart used to be. In the throes of heartbreak, he had forsaken the ways of his family, just as he had done many years ago. He chose to live out the past two decades in solitude. Until now. He had finally found his way back to his chosen family and just in time to assist with the move from Minnesota to a quaint town in Maine known as Gray. Upon returning, he was a man of few words, speaking only when spoken to. He was numb to the world- He was Hollow. What happens when he stumbles upon a golden-haired girl sleeping in a cemetery whose blood sings to him in an all-too-familiar fashion; whose chaotic yet hushed mind taunts him; whose piercing blue eyes peer straight into his nonexistent soul? Why- He develops a strong hatred for the girl. He loathes her. And the feeling is absolutely mutual. Or at least that's what they tell themselves.

"Red? Little Red?" Wysteria hears the nickname and a memory jolts through her of a boy with a toothy grin and shaggy hair. She turns slowly. Behind her is a lanky guy with hair almost as long as hers, if not longer. His head is tilted slightly in disbelief but he immediately breaks out into a smile once he recognizes her. "Holy shit. It is you." Wysteria is staring at him with inquisitive green eyes. "You... you do remember me right?" It takes Wysteria another moment. "Jaybird?" Jacob breaks out into a wider smile. ---- "Why is everybody staring at me?" "Because you're beautiful." "No... That can't be it." -x- When Wysteria Redbird moves back to the Quileute Reservation in Forks, Washington after the sudden death of her father, she's not surprised to see that nothing has changed. La Push beach is just as cold, the woods surrounding her home are just as scary, and the elders of the Tribe still firmly believe in Spirit Warriors and Cold Ones. Wysteria unfortunately is not the same. Something burns deep inside her. Everyone seems wary of her presence. She feels like a walking plague and wishes more than anything that she was back in Florida with her father who would be alive and well instead of buried six feet under. The only solace Wysteria finds in Forks, Washington comes from Jacob Black and Bella Swan, two childhood friends she had almost completely forgotten. As events begin to unfold and secrets are uncovered, Wysteria begins to understand why the Quileute tribe fears her and soon realizes that she is afraid of herself as well.
