Her whole life shatters into a million pieces after the death of not only her best friend but the love of her life. She keeps wondering, what does one do when their whole life shatters into a million pieces? How does one find themselves again and find a reason to go on? Will she find the strength to live again and not just survive, or will the pain take up permanent residence within her driving her to the point of ending it all?

I was waiting for my dad when my life changed. Not in any way like a fairy tale with magic wands or going through a rabbit hole like kids in the books do. More like I found it and wished my father came back to clean up his own problem instead of risking my life for this. I can only hope that I will make it out alive.

After her life is destroyed by her fathers death she meets a very different young man and falls in love with him before she learns the truth.
