It's been years since Will Solace has seen his childhood best friend, Nico di Angelo-but that's to be expected since pirates kidnapped both Nico and his sister. Now, Will is just trying to pay off his medical school debt. Unfortunately for him, the pirate crew has decided to enact its first kidnapping in history-and they're looking for someone who could be their ship doctor.

Nico di Angelo can officially say that he's committed a mutiny. Four years ago, he and his crew threw their boss into a small boat with no supplies and pushed him into oblivion. Since then, Nico was elected Captain, he made a strict no-kidnapping policy, and he spent most of his time worming himself out of Seduction Duty.

What happens when Nico's crew decides not to abide by the most important ship rule: no kidnapping? And even worse...is the old ship captain really dead?

Welcome to a story about adventure and bravery; about learning and teaching; about loving and taking. Welcome to the Argo II.

Don't Fade Away: A Solangelo Fanfiction 2 by fandom-trashhhh
62 parts Complete
Nico di Angelo is finally happy. He's learning to accept himself for his sexuality and as a son of Hades. After everything horrible that has happened to him, he's slowly getting better with the help of Will and his friends. Will Solace finally got the boy of his dreams. The boy he had a crush on since he was 11 years old. He's starting to realize that he isn't as useless as he thinks he is, and that he's actually worth something. Everything is going great for a while. But just like it always is for demigods, nothing good ever lasts. The death of Nico's first and closest friend Jason Grace puts a sudden end to the sunshine that currently brightens Nico's life for once. His death triggers a lot of things for him, and shines light on a lot of his unresolved trauma. Will Nico be able to make it through this without his mental stability completely breaking once and for all? Will Nico be able to let people in enough to help him get through it? And what about the mysterious dreams that Nico keeps having of his mom? And who really is this little girl that knows nothing about her past? In this sequel to Out of the Shadows, Nico sees familiar faces and revisits past places, but at least this time he has Will along for the ride. Spoilers for basically every Percy Jackson book, including Tower of Nero. ⚠️ Trigger Warning ⚠️ death, homophobia, mental health issues that includes but not limited to PTSD and depression, heavy angst later on, brief harassment and brief physical violence (someone gets slapped once). Thank you so much, Selene (aka @riptide2406) for all of the help! I couldn't have done this without you! Everyone, go check out her page and follow her! She's super cool, and one of the very best friends I have on here! All character, world and basically everything rights goes to the amazing Rick Troll Riordan, except for the plot points I made and the characters I created. How Icarus Fell From the Sun (a Solangelo fanfic)

26 parts Complete

Nico felt like Icarus. Fly too close to the sun, and your wings will melt. Fly too close to the sea, your wings will grow heavy. Nico had already flown too close to the sea. He had allowed his infatuation with Percy to rule his life, his decisions, for far to many years. His wings had grown heavy, and he'd drowned. Icarus had made a mistake. He strayed too far, entranced by the kindness of the light. The dark wouldn't be as welcoming, ushering you in with no hesitancy and crossed arms. That didn't work out so well for Icarus. So, Nico would allow this filter, this light, to cover him, shroud him in kindness, and possibility, and warmth. But he would not cross further. He would not succumb to the light only to fall forever into darkness. He would do what Icarus couldn't. Nico di Angelo would not fly too close to the sun. Cover art by viria!
