I groaned and kissed her again. "Each time I've gotten close a kid has interrupted. I love them but they need to go to their grandpa's for an hour or three."

I look at him with my eyebrows furrowed, and suddenly a deep trench of anxiety forms in the pit of my stomach. "What is it?" I ask him. He hesitates before speaking. "Lilith is coming back to LA to work on the stage crew," Jake says. My eyes slightly widen. Fuck. ~~~ A year has gone by and now Lilith is back.
