His List

When Aubrey accidentally loses a very important journal, she finds it in the hands of the ever charming boy named Michael who finds interest in the list written in the journal. Amidst their adventure of accomplishing everything in Aubrey's list, Aubrey faces reality and realizes it wasn't her that needed to have things accomplished.

He turned it to the second page where the list was neatly written. He pointed at it using his index finger. His eyes glimmering with utter excitement. He was pointing at it like a kid who saw a brand new toy at the store, showing it to me as if I haven't seen the stupid thing before.

"This list. Have you done any of these before?"

I rolled my eyes at his unnecessary interest, "Have you seen any checks there?"

"Then it's settled!" he declared, "I'll help you do everything on that list."
