Modern-day AU of Rise of the Guardians, short story.
Jack 'Frost' Overland-St.North, 14 years old, has recently been adopted by Nicholas St.North, the toy maker and a well known and well liked member of the community, after having lived on the streets for 3 years. Everything seemed to be going well, when Jack returns home from school, strangly angry, with no trace of his usual energy, and North decides to investigate, only to learn that Jack is enduring a new kind of hardship.
