The story of two people, both subject to harsh home lives, deceit, lies, and manipulation, and yet after everything they've been through, they will find a way to make things alright together.

Lila, is raised by a single mother, who is not prepared for her motherly role just yet. Lila is subject to overlooked neglect at a very young age, yet she finds refuge in her mother's best friend, Rose. All through her life, things have been blurred, but when they finally start to get clearer, he enters her life and makes everything around her, feel insignificant.

Reggie has always been someone that needed someone at his side, whether that would be his father, his brother or his friends, he always needed a shoulder to cry on or someone to talk to when he's feeling down. For nearly 12 years, his mother has completely ignored his existence so he learned not to rely on her, while his father has always been someone that he could look up to, but slowly, their relationship is slowly broken down, until Reggie learns that he can no longer lean on his father. He finds comfort in small things, that end up making his life a whole lot better.

Everything changes, when nearly 25 years after Reggies death, Lila and Reggie meet.
