Mature
After a fatal car crash, Kageyama is left reeling from the heartbreaking loss of his older sister.
But the nightmares that wake him at night, and dark thoughts that disturb him every day aren't just because he is mourning.
It's because Kageyama was the one driving.
Hinata knows better than anyone that Kageyama just isn't the same person anymore. He's even more quiet and secluded, he quit the volleyball team, and every time they have a conversation, it always seems to be one-sided.
He understands that what happened is a tragedy. He just hopes that whatever Kageyama is feeling right now won't last forever.
As Kageyama struggles with PTSD, and Hinata with watching his best friend and partner slowly fade away, they both discover the one thing they need to keep going: each other.

"Hinata, are you limping?" Kageyama yelled from across the gym. Everyone paused in their tracks, surprised by the sudden outburst. Hinata fell over as he was in midair in the middle of practicing one of their quicks. "W-what?" Hinata exclaimed, surprised that Kageyama actually noticed. It wasn't really like him to care anyway. Kageyama walked towards him with a unidentifiable expression. To Hinata, Kageyama was the most scary when he wasn't expressing his usual anger. "Stand up." The taller boy demanded. β˜†β˜†β˜† There's something wrong with Hinata's leg, and that's quite the problem when all he cares about is volleyball. To an athlete, your body is all you've got; and Hinata has tried for way too long to reach the point he is to just give up. But that proves to be a problem when it hurts the point he can barely walk, and Nationals are right around the corner. The team is faced with hard choices and for Kageyama; even harder ones. Realizing that he may lose Hinata only triggered his realization on how he felt for middle blocker. But it's hard to worry about his loved ones when lately the setter has been having problems of his own. --- SEQUEL IS OUT: PARALYZED CHECK IT OUT ON MY PROFILE Highest Ranking: #1 in Kagehina Taken place after Haikyuu season 3. Calm My World [Kagehina]

22 parts Complete Mature

Kageyama is a college student who suffers from anxiety and depression. He struggles through his classes and any other situations where he needs to be around people. He is fascinated by a very cute, very outgoing redhead in one of his classes and wonders obsessively about how someone seems so at ease around people. He develops a tiny crush, but never speaks to the redhead -- doesn't even know his name -- until one night at a crowded movie premier. Then it seems he runs into Hinata all the time. Is the universe trying to tell him something? Can the energetic boy with the megawatt smile find a way to connect with the painfully shy, socially awkward, anxious classmate? Will Hinata's gentle and accepting nature calm the worry that constantly plagues Kageyama and finally give him some peace? CW: anxiety, depression, self-harm College AU; all characters are 18+. I do not own the Haikyuu characters or the cover art.
