The inhabitants of this planet were a race of anthropomorphic alien creatures that resembled what most people in the modern age call "anthros" or "furries." Humanity, despite everything, managed to coexist and even integrate this highly intelligent alien species into our society and also help bolster the Kalimarian world's own technological advancements. For over 80 years the two species coexisted with only minor skirmishes between humans and Kalimarians occurring. That is until the war happened. A war that many question the true motives behind. Was it to protect the sovereignty of the Kalimarian species and its people? Was it to gain power and influence over people of the planet? This no one could truly answer. The war however started and all of humanity on that planet was stuck there as the portals that once allowed free travel between the two worlds was shut down. Scott Caine, a once proud member of the U.S. Army was now stuck here with the forces that had been cutoff from earth and the United States. A young man who had been forced to do things he shouldn't have had to do. A man given little choice in what life brought him.

I wrote this because I was partly inspired by "A Man In A Beast's World" by @GhillieCamo. Admittedly, my head was kind of in two places when writing this. Part of me wanted to create this really thoughtful, slow-burning, thriller sci-fi story experience with lots of lore and things to mull over, and the other half wanted to make a human x anthro romance story, dripping with provocative scenes, dialogue and drama. I'd say the story has both, but more of the former, which I think is ultimately better than if it was the other way around. I don't claim to be the best, or even good, at storytelling, and there are definitely a couple issues I have in my story, but people have been telling me they really like this story.
