Alex has always been different from everyone around him even among his family that he learned when he was 12
As he grew up he knew that he was different because he could see things others could not. The first time he realized he was different was the time he saw his neighbors son Joshua get dragged underneath the ground by what looked like a fanged earthworm
Even when telling others what he saw they never believed him and marked Joshua as missing
But even he never knew about 'The Beast that Lived Within' him but as time passed he himself would find that out

Alex started to show development of his powers and despite the fact that his parents didn't want him to be a soldier, they knew that he needed to be trained and how to use his powers properly knowing that if he didn't, he would end up hurting someone either accidental or on purpose so they went against their empire's beliefs and they taught him core beliefs that went against the code of the empire about how to respect other peoples culture and respect life in general and do not take another life lightly It was then that they discovered that Alexander was a lot stronger than than other viltrumite of his age group however they didn't have time to to understand the full differences between them and their son. The Empire had found them fearing the worst. The parents fought back against their former allies as their son fled the planet as far away as he could... Over 1000 years had passed and Alexander was all alone in the universe he still believed in the core concepts that his parents taught him and tried his best to help the universe whatever way he could he intended on staying out of the Empire's way continuously running from them that was until he came to a planet of mud and water called... Earth were a new adventure that would change his life forever was about to begin
