Kana Hayashi knows she lives in a manga. She had read it before she died.

Her supposed best friend, Akari Minozawa, is the manga's heroine and the hero is Haruki Issey, the most popular boy in their school. She knows the two will get together, the both of them being so perfect and good-looking. It is only a matter of time.

But Kana has no interest in Haruki or Akari, she never really cared about them when reading the manga long ago in her previous life. She only cared for the second male lead, the icy cold Junichiro Kitahara.
