The Nerd's Idiot

Gon is a football player whose grades are in serious trouble, the coach says he will get benched if he doesn't get help. So he enlists help from Killua Zoldyck soon to be class valedictorian. But Gon asks that they keep it a secret. Out of embarrassment for him feeling like an idiot or for hanging out with Killua who knows?
Killua agrees, they start a secret friendship learning things about each other.

Gon hears the struggles of Killua getting bullied in his old school for being gay etc. The more nights they spend with each other the more Gon realizes he might actually have feelings for Killua despite being straight (pfft). But he chooses to ignore them, essentially hurting himself and Killua in the process. What's installed with these two highschool boys??
