Book 1
Spottedpaw was a Branchclan medicine cat. Dewstar, the leader of Branchclan, had told her that he found Spottedpaw right outside of their territory and decided to take her in.
Dewstar didn't like Spottedpaw. She didn't know why. It was rumored that he only felt bad for her when she was a kit and didn't want her to die. But once he had taken her in he came to his senses and realized this was a random cat. He had no idea where she came from. But she let him stay. So Dewstar didn't trust her enough to actually become a warrior. Instead he made she become a medicine cat.
Spottedpaw had most of the clans trust. But there were still some cats who didn't trust her and gave her dirty looks.
One day Spottedpaw was told a secret. Not by a single cat, but by Starclan. It makes her question her loyalty herself. She seeks answers. She needed answers. And she was going to get answers; from the cats that started it all.

Everyone swoons over her, sympathising with her, caring for her, when all she wants is for cats not to do that, to listen. However, when StarClan tell her of this evil, she may get the chance to prove herself to everyone. Rockpaw feels like an outcast, everyday being hated on by his Clanmates for seeing things differently. So when the chance to prove them wrong comes up, he doesn't give it a second thought. But the evil still resides, and Rockpaw might know more about it then he's letting on, even to himself. Greyshard, as a former kittypet, has always thought of life in the Clans as challenging. For her, everything seems to go wrong. Every plan, every schedule, every patrol - ends up in a disaster, and its always because of her. That's the difference about DrizzleClan and its fellow bordering clans: the rogues are savages that will murder any lone cat in cold blood if they don't join up with the growing Rogue band.
