They were forgotten by almost everyone, their heroic world saving deeds erased from the minds of Americas citizens. Their headquarters turned into a Starbucks by a mediocre but rich actor and their equipment stolen by one of the Ghostbusters themselves. So nobody would expect 26 year old Jonathan Spengler, the son of Egon Spengler, to try and get the Ghostbusters back together.
