A long time ago. When the world was ruled by Dragons, two of the highest class royalty dragons on Earth were here. The Mercy Dragons. And the Flame Dragons. Despite their names, they were both very nice people, and were the best of friends. Once the two children of the families were born, everything was perfect. Until, only a week after the baby's' birth, Prince Blade, of the Flame Dragons disappeared. The Flame Dragons blamed the Mercy Dragons, and soon after went into war. This war lasted for years. And is possibly still happening today. This is a story about a boy named Blokko Siere. When he was a baby, he was found in a forest fire, and adopted by the Siere family. He also has a brother named Eren. One day at school, he runs into a girl with beautiful white hair and eyes, and after knocking into her, hears a voice in her bag. The two meet again later in class, as she is introduced as the new exchange student, Yaoshida Mercy. The two get to know each other, and go on a little tree date. Thing end up moving fast, and after giving out some harsh words, they end up in a world of Half-Breeds, ruled by the powerful dragons. Blokko is told the truth about Yaoshida, and shortly after meets her assistant Merisiel. (This story has its moment, like some cute romance scenes, and a fight scene. I put a lot of time working on this, and I hope you enjoy.)
Daffodils and Hyacinths (Book 3 of the Forgotten Truths Series) by Contrastgaze
29 parts Complete Mature
"One small incident can ruin or change a person's life - Now imagine a storm," Dusty winds spit at Sun'Tribe and her people. Cramped, multiple families are forced to huddle in one of the ruins; the only remaining proof of the original four tribes that used to stand. "Unifying us all is what should make us less insecure about ourselves, but our differences are what makes each one of us unique; special," In Sun'Tribe, everyone is the same. No traditions, no religion, no abilities, no culture, not even the way someone dresses themselves can be different. Dull, brown clothes, with hair cut down and pulled back in a simple manner. Difference is only for their Leader. The supreme ruler who never goes hungry, and lives in a large palace just for herself. It isn't until two lowly commoners take in the last of the outcasts, that their world sees a future of life again. ~*~ Written by the beas-TEAS, @EChO11111111111 (old acc: Echo__IsNoFurry) and @Ripplestream11 ; also credit to our friend who is not comfortable sharing her name (As of right now, Echo's account isn't working, AGAIN, so check both for updates) You don't have to read the other previous two books of this series to understand this book. "Forgotten Truths" is more of a backstory-based book, for the old tribes and some of the characters, which takes place a little over a decade before "Daffodils and Hyacinths", and the main details to understand this book are in "The Place where Dreams Fade," but if you're new, you should be caught up after reading 'TRIBES AND RULERS' and the Prologue. Updates might be a little irregular depending on our schedule We all hope you choose to give "Daffodils and Hyacinths" a go! NOTE: This book is not a fanfic, nor does it have any relation to "The Last Airbender" or "Legends of Korra". We definitely do see how it can be related to that, but we did not intend for that to be the outcome. Thank you!

"He likes your curves. Rightfully claims you as his... in his mind." Asher now speaks staring at the golden boy. I carefully peek through my lashes to find him still looking at me. "Are you jealous?" I dare to ask. He sits back at the wall staring at me. He runs his eyes down my body and slowly smirks. "Yes," "Good," I say digging my fork into the pasta. I then place the pasta into the carrots... Playing with my food. I have been scolded for this many times when I was back in the Ordinary world. Now there is no one to do that for me. Asher comes closer to me and I could sense the burnt wood in him. I smile as he wraps his arms around me. "Your mine. Only I can look at you that way. Only I can touch you. Only I can kiss you. Understand?" He asks me. I nod. He places a kiss on my lips and a kiss on my collarbone. "Good," I peek at my lashes again to find golden boy looking elsewhere. Prelinsa, a young half-foxgirl, has a tough upbringing - a sickly body, a widowed mother, and a low quality of living. Despite this, she has a strong fighting spirit. She has heard stories that the Path of the Phoenix - a line of legendary magic - can help cure her illness, and allow her to become a Phoenix Warrior who helps others in need. However, the Path of the Phoenix is considered dangerous to learn, and is only taught by a select few in House Silvermoon - an old group of powerful mages. Even if Prelinsa gets her once in a lifetime chance to learn, she will be faced with enemies - not just from the outside, but from within House Silvermoon itself... What to expect: - Hobbyist's first long work - Volume 1 is "complete" and Volume 2 is in progress. 5 volumes planned - Each volume is to be roughly light novel length (about 70k words), relatively quick read - Shounen anime action, military-lite action, some comedy, a bit of drama. Romance in future arcs? A lot of different stuff - Not grimdark, but definitely with some dark elements - An urban near-future fantasy setting with both magic and technology. Not Earth, but has Earth-like aspects - An evolving world with societal, magical, and technological progress - Influence from various things - shounen anime, xianxia, rofan, TTRPGs - Not an isekai or time regression, Prelinsa is a native of the world and there's only one timeline - No AI text Phoenix art is public domain CC0 from https://openclipart.org/detail/228829/phoenix-line-art.

This was too much, way too much. In half a day, my life had been turned upside down. Just as I was about to fall, the raven transformed into a boy and caught me. The bird had just turned into a boy. What the heck? What was an Avian doing on Lupine territory? * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * After much debate, I decided to discontinue this second book and series. I love the world and I built and the characters with all my heart but the writing is incredibly outdated and the plot progression is all over the place. I may reuse these characters in the future, but this series has come to an end. I'm sorry to the people who wished to see the story continue, but I hope you'll be able to join me on future fantastical journies once I have time to write more! * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * First Published: Dec. 20, 2018 Finished: Mar. 31, 2020 Finished Publishing: 5-23-2020
