Olive isn't running away from her problems, she's just...quietly backing away from them. It's a tactical retreat. So that's why she's decided to enroll in a tiny boarding school in Arundel, a tiny town in the middle of absolutely nowhere. Mid-way through the year. Okay, so she might be running away from her problems, maybe. When her mother moves to another country, Olive decides that she can't give up life in England and decides to pack a bag and try out boarding school. Little does she know that this means 'Arundel Academy', home to the subtly rich kids of old Lords who grow up in big manor houses that people take tours to go look at. But, she's trying to stay optimistic- that is until she runs into Jason Bloom, again and again and again. He's the son of one of the founders of the school, and that makes him think that he's practically royalty, so Olive decides that if she has to hang out with, she'll be the one to humble him. And that is the only reason she's hanging out with him. Or is it the fact that he interests her, that she thinks that maybe he's different underneath the persona that he puts up? The fact that he's been the first to make her laugh in a while, the first to make her do things that make her feel alive? The first to realise that just because she's smiling doesn't mean she's not hiding.
