What I'm doing here is taking the Marauders' (James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter), Lily Evans', and Severus Snape's tales of Hogwarts and I'm turning them modern because I don't know what it would've been like when they were actually there so... yeah. This is mostly in the point of view of Lily Evans, but I might switch to James every now and then. I'm going to try and focus a lot of the Marauders, of course, and their relationships with Lily. She's tired of the Gryffindor-Slytherin rivalry, of the Marauders and their stupid pranks, of the blood prejudice and even of her best friend, Severus. James is tired too. He's grown sick of this game of pretend, where everyone acts as if everything's fine when it's really not. His friend group is drifting apart, his grades are plummeting and now there are all these expectations! Something needs to change this year. Marauders AU Romance
This story is based on JK Rowling's characters from the series Harry Potter. I have done my best to be accurate with both timelines and character portrayals, but of course there will be some changes since this is an alternate universe with some original characters inserted, plus, there is only so much written about the marauder's era. The story takes place in the year 1976, the boys are all in their sixth year, and tensions are high at Hogwarts. Many of the students are already feeling the influence of the Voldemort, and it is causing suspicion and division to run rampant within the walls of the school. Sirius finds himself intrigued by a Slytherin girl he'd never taken the time to notice before, and a student transfer from Ilvermorny has caught the eye of Remus. Of course James is still battling for Lilly's attention, hoping to prove how much he's matured over the summer months. Undeniable attraction pulls these students together, but house division, many secrets, and a Dark Lord's growing influence threatens to tear them apart. Will they find a way to conquer their differences and pull together to face the coming war, or will the bonds of friendship fail the Marauders once and for all? Please comment!
