Harley and Godric just decided to introduce themselves to their families. They've kept their relationship secret for fear of what might happen to them for over a full year.
They probably should've stayed hidden a bit longer because in their homes homophobia is more than just a few derogatory words occasionally thrown around.
Sadly, the boys don't figure that out until after Godric is hospitalized.
