That is, until she was discovered.
After a raid on a religious cult suspected of harboring villainous fugitives, heroes were stunned to find a little girl sitting by herself in a dark tunnel. She was taken under the custody of the police because of the circumstances she was found in. Until her quirk manifested, that is. It became clear that the police couldn't handle her anymore.

Nakano had never been allowed to use her quirk. They'd saddled her with all sorts of equipment to prevent her from using it, and she'd gradually gotten used to the empty feeling that accompanied her loss. That was, until the bracelets broke.

With danger looming on the horizon, an uncontrollable quirk, and a three-way tug-of-war for control over her, Nakano doesn't have time for an identity crisis. But when was her life ever convenient for her?
