Ponyboy age of 14, 2 brothers Sodapop (Soda) the age of sixteen going on to seventeen"16-17", and Darrel (Darry) the age of twenty "20" and a younger sister Aria the age of 8,  Ponyboy is tough and confused, yet sensitive behind his bold front. Since his parents death in a auto wreck his loyalties have been to his brothers and sister and there gang. 

OC: Aria,8 years old and is the youngest member of the "gang" and is kind a tag along.  Aria is pretty sensitive like her older brother Ponyboy but is and acts tough. Aria does not really get in to the violence being at such a young age but that doesn't stop her from following the boys around

The boys don't care that Aria tags along because she young and doesn't know any better and she keeps them out of trouble while shes with them.

His old man had always treated him like shit anyway, but there was something inside that was crushed. Dad would sometimes help little Johnny out, it was his mother that had made things worse for him. After his death, Johnny couldn't cope much anymore, he was used to being able to, but now his emotions were out of control. He starts to spiral downwards. The gang is with him the whole time and tries their hardest to keep him at his best, but Johnny becomes irrational, too unpredictable for the gang to even understand but Johnny doesn't go down alone, he brings someone with him.
