When life is falling apart for 17-year-old Nigel, college rejections, family pressures, and a sister's mysterious illness, he has no idea that a chance meeting with the enigmatic Annika will challenge everything he thought he knew about love, destiny, and what it means to fight for those you cherish. But when his sister's diagnosis turns life upside down, and Annika reveals secrets of her own, Nigel must face a reality heavier than anything he imagined. As tragedy and miracles dance hand in hand, To the Moon and Back becomes a powerful journey of loss, healing, and the unexpected ways that people come into our lives at exactly the right moment. Heartfelt, humorous, and hauntingly relatable, this is a story about the deep pull of family, the sting of what we can't control, and the courage to believe in second chances, even when the odds are against us. For readers who love the emotional depth of Nicholas Sparks and the raw authenticity of John Green, this novel will stay with you long after the final page. ---To My Readers - A Letter from the Heart--- I wrote To the Moon and Back in memory of my young sister, who passed away from cancer in 2013. She was only 14, full of dreams, laughter, and a light that never dimmed, even in her final days. This story is my way of keeping her spirit alive, of reaching for the stars she never got to touch, and of giving voice to the love that still echoes in my heart. Today, I'm proud and emotional to say the novel is complete. Every chapter carries a piece of her. Every line is stitched with the hope, pain, and beauty of what it means to love deeply and lose too soon. I poured my soul into this book, and I hope you feel that in every word. Thank you for walking this journey with me. For reading, reacting, and believing in this story. It's more than fiction - it's a tribute. And now, it's yours. With love, Justin J. Jones

Early as a teenager, Madison dreamed of losing her virginity. Losing your virginity has a certain art to it. To her, it meant you got to know your partner better than they knew themselves. It has a certain intimate touch to it. The idea of giving yourself to someone you love is something many people want. But sometimes you don't get a choice. As she got closer to finishing high school, Madison was robbed of her innocence. After that, she struggled to be normal. How could you just go back after something like that? Growing up in Flint, Michigan was hard enough but after this, she found herself slipping into the darkness of the city. After dropping out of high school, Madison was left to take care of her struggling family. She often resorted to party on the weekends because she enjoys the numbness. That is until one night she is accused of a crime that she didn't commit. While she tries to do everything in her power to stay out of jail, she meets someone new. She tries to stay away but she can't help it - he's just so enticing. It isn't long before she's putty in his hands but when she learns something new about him, she pushes him away. Will she ever get the chance to be normal? {The first 5 chapters are published on Wattpad as a preview. The story is 100% complete & published on another platform (more info in my bio).
