Have you ever heard the song Traveling Solider by The Dixie Chicks? Well, this story is based off of that song. Although sad, it has been a part of my childhood making me into the person I am today. When I listen to the song I picture the 1950's which, for some reason, to me, is a decade of love and I really do not know why. Any ways I hope you enjoy.

"Unfortunately, I wish it was just a made-up story, something that belonged in the realm of fiction. But it isn't. I'm guessing it started happily at first. Just a naive 10-year-old enjoying what life threw at her. As they say, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. But I didn't. I longed for more. With my lemons, I wanted lemonade, lemon cake, lemon pie, honey and lemon juice, lemon tea, and even lemon water!" I guess now I can't have any of that anymore, right?
