She spoke before Merlin could ask if she was alright. "Then I am happy." she said, her tone not betraying her.

Merlin was a little surprised. "Gwen?"

Gwen looked back at him and smiled warmly. "I am happy he died with someone that he knew loved him."

OR

Merlin returns to Camelot just over a year after Arthur's death. He learns of the changes since he left, and realises that Gwen knew more about him than she ever let on.

A young woman comes to Camelot in search of a place to stay and meets the young warlock Merlin, the two become close friends and soon much more then that, but the young girl has magic and even though magic is no longer outlawed she is not sure she wants to reveal it. Neither Merlin nor the young girl, Lilith, know that they will both need to use their powers together to bring Arthur back in Albians greatest time of need. I do not own Merlin! Rated: PG

It had been five years since Balinor had died and three since Arthur had become king. Life in Camelot was surprisingly peaceful until Merlin noticed changes in his appearance. Knowing something was wrong when his magic refused to work or the spells were weaker/stronger than they should have been. When he found out from Kilgharrah what was happening to him he knew he had to leave Camelot until he regained control. He knew he had to find Vivianna to help him achieve his goal. He had been told that this trip might take him several months, but he had no choice if he didn't want to accidentally hurt someone he cared about. Together with Gaius's help, he came up with a suitable excuse for why he wasn't there. However, he didn't expect that his sudden disappearance would have such an impact on his friends because he didn't consider himself important. How do his friends react to his transformation and when they learn the reason why?
